Narcisse Poirier (1883 - 1984) was active/lived in Quebec / Canada.  Narcisse Poirier is known for Landscape, still life painting, religious decorations.

Narcisse Poirier was a painter who was  born in Saint-Felix-de-Valois, Quebec.  His medium was primarily oil.  His subjects Quebec landscape, still life and religious decoration for churches. His style was realism.

He studied at the Monument National in Montreal (1907 - 1914) under Edmond Dyonnet and Joseph Saint-Charles.  He also studied with Maurice Cullen, Alfred Laliberte, Henri Herbert and Elezear Soucy; and at the Academie Julian in Paris.  He worked with Marc-Aurele de Foy Suzor-Cote decorating churches.  He also traveled to Italy.

He exhibited with the Royal Canadian Academy  from 1925 to 1937.  He also exhibited at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, often in combined shows with Alfred Laliberte's sculptures.  He was a founding member of the Mont Saint Michel painters group.

His religious paintings can be found in churches in Saint-Felix-de-Valois,Saint-Eustache, Montreal and Riviere-du-Loup.
